24.12 – 05.01  Christmas / New Year  program

The  village  of  Listvyanka  is  located  on  the  shore  of  the  lake  Baikal  at  70  km  from  Irkutsk,  1.5  hour  drive  from  Irkutsk  by  auto / bus.  It  is  the  best  known  tourist  place  at  Baikal.  From  here  begin  all  tourist  water  excursions,  transfers,  cruises.  In  summer  this  settlement  looks  more  the  travelers’  Mecca,  a  lot  of  campings,  guest - houses,  hotels,  datchas  open  their  doors  to  welcome  tourists.  The  Siberian  hospitality  does  not  end  in  summer;  in  winter  Listvyanka  attracts  guests  for  the  active  winter  recreation,  to  spend  holidays,  weekends,  vacations.  Here  the  white  snow  crisps  under  feet,  the  mountains  covered  with  the  taiga  forest  look  dark  at  the  horizon;  and  far  away,  on  the  opposite  shore  of  Baikal,  the  snow - covered  mountain  picks  shine  brightly  in  the  sun.  We  invite  you  to  come  and  experience  the  Siberian  winter,  walk  on  the  transparent  ice  of  Baikal,  enjoy  your  winter  vacations  at  Baikal.

This  program  is  regular,  also  it  may  be  arranged  for  Christmas  and  New  Year  celebrations  in  the  period  24.12 – 05.01

Day  1  Arrival  in  Irkutsk.  Transfer  to  hotel.  Refresh.

City  Sightseeings.  Walk  around  the  Christmas / New Year  city  square.

Local  lore  museum.  Market.

Overnight  in  Irkutsk.

Day  2 *  Transfer  to  station.  Boarding  on  the  train  to  Listvyanka  along  the  shore  of  the  lake  Baikal  –  the  Old  Transsib  rail  road.  Meals  on  train.  Arrival  in  the  port  of  Baikal.

Ferry  transfer  to  Listvyanka  village.  Transfer  to  hotel.

Overnight  in  Listvyanka.

Day  3  Excursion  around  the  village.  Limnological  museum.  Skiing.

Day  4  Ride  snowmobile  /  dog  drafting.

Day  5  Museum  of  the  wooden  architecture.

Holiday  activities  at  Sibirskaya  Zaimka.  Welcome  ceremony  with  vodka  and  blinis.

Participate  in  the  Russian  folklore  Khorovod  around  the  campfire.

Ride  on  the  Russian  troika  through  the  tourist  homestead.

Lunch  in  the  log  izba - restaurant.

Return  to  Irkutsk.

Farewell  dinner.

Overnight  in  Irkutsk.

Day  6  Departure.
