 Day
1 Arrival in
Irkutsk, trf to hotel.
Citytour
includes historical, architectural
monuments, you
will go
along the old
streets, see the
restored churches,
Znamensky cathedral,
parks
and squares,
theatres and
Universities. Visit
of the
Eternal Flame
to heroes
and Gagarin
boulevard, the
favorite spot
of the
inhabitants' of
Irkutsk.
Excursion to Decembrists’
or Local Lore museum.
Day 2 Departure to
Olkhon island by
bus 6 – 7 hours including awaiting
time for a ferry between the main land and island. The
road from Irkutsk to
Olkhon runs across the Siberian taiga, steppe
and Siberian villages. Lunch
on this day is provided in a small local caffee, dinner
at camping in
Khuzhir. Accommodation
in a homestead of
small wooden houses
where you will be served home - made,
village meals.
Russian banya in the evening.
 Day
3 Excursion to
Khoboi cape (bus + trekking).
The cape is 50 km from Khuzhir, the main part of the distance is overcome in a bus, the less accessible part (about 1 km) will be a trekking one. The cape is the northern part of the island, the sacral spot of the local Buryat people.
The deepest part
of Baikal (1632m)
is located not
far from it. From the top of the cape there opens a beautiful panorama view
of the vast surface of
the lake. The opposite shore,
remote mountains, small
islands are clearly visible from
the cape.
 Excursion to the Shamanka cliff,
the Altar rock of the sacrifice in
the history of the Buryats. Shamanka
is known as
the origin of
all Buryat ancient
legends and fairy
- tales of
Baikal, it
was the sacred
place for the
Buryats.
Day 4 Trekking to
the opposite side
of Olkhon island.
A road trekking is 15 km one way, it leads tourists to the opposite shore
of the island
from Khuzhir. From this cape tourists are able to see all the north - western
shore of the lake, the mount Zhima, the
highest one. To
a visitors'
eye there open
unique views on
Baikal from
above. The wild scenery, silence, and
noise of the waves are enjoyable. Lunch
box. Return to camping.
Dinner.
 Evening by the campfire.
Day 5 Transfer to
Irkutsk by bus. Check in hotel.
Day 6 Departure from Irkutsk.
Accommodation on Olkhon island in
wooden houses in
camping.
In summer other active entertainments
offered on
spot: bicycles, horse
- riding, walking.
